Mark Young Ferrer / son

Mel Ferrer's 4th child - Mark - was born June 19, 1944 to Mel and Frances Ferrer. He is shown with his father, mother and sister Pepa in 1949 at home (left) when he was 5 years old and in 1952 at a Ballet Russe performance (sitting next to his mother) at age 8.

6-year old Mark rough housing with his father (center) and posing with his family (left) in 1951; the photo on the right shows Mark in 1955 visiting his father, now living in Switzerland and married to Audrey Hepburn. He would have been 10 or 11 years old.

In the photo on the left Mel Ferrer's four children from three previous marriages (and two previous wives) visit him and his then wife Audrey Hepburn. Mark can be seen far right, next to his half brother Chirstopher, half sister Mela and sister Pepa (in front of Audrey). The photo was probably taken in 1957 when Mark was 12 or 13. On the right Pepa and Mark (far left) attend the christening of their new half brother - three-month-old Sean Hepburn Ferrer, being carried by his nanny. Mel Ferrer and Audrey Hepburn (both in white) can be seen behind them greeting another guest. The event was held in September 1960. In his final years Mel Ferrer lived on a 19 acre ranch next door to Mark and his family in a suburb of Santa Barbara.
