Academy Awards
Los Angeles, California
March 21 1956

Mel Ferrer and Audrey Hepburn attended the 28th annual Academy Awards where both did double duty as presenters. Although Audrey had actually won her Oscar for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role two years before, she presented the Oscar for Best Performance by an Actor in place of 1954's winner Grace Kelly, while Mel presented the Scientific and Technical Awards.

Audrey can be seen in the center photo with the 1955 winner for Best Actor, Ernest Borgnine, along with Harold Hecht, the producer of his film "Marty," which also won for Best Picture. Audrey was dressed all in white and won rave reviews for her elegant but simple look.
