"Children's Hour" Party

These photos were taken at the party celebrating the end of filming on "The Children's Hour" - the movie Audrey Hepburn filmed in Los Angeles over the summer of 1961. On the right she and husband Mel Ferrer can be seen chatting with Audrey's co-star, James Garner, and the center photo shows them both with Mary Balkin, the young actress who portrayed the villainous child in the film. This movie was quite a departure for Audrey Hepburn, as the story was an early attempt to address homosexuality. Shirley MacLaine also starred.
