Mel Ferrer had a dual purpose for attending Peggy Lee's opening at Ciro's
during the summer of 1952. Besides being a fan and a friend of the
family (having used Ms Lee's husband Dave Barbour in his movie "Secret
Fury") he was also employed to stage Peggy Lee's act and offer advice
about how to prepare the show more effectively.
