Eddie Fisher's Opening at the Desert Inn

Mel Ferrer and Audrey Hepburn were present at Eddie Fisher's much heralded opening in Las Vegas at The Desert Inn Hotel and following his performance they threw a starry party for him and his wife Elizabeth Taylor. An interesting switch of partners was recorded on camera with the caption in the middle photo reading:

At hubby's Desert Inn opening, a blooming Liz Taylor discovered Mel Ferrer's terrific dancer!

In the photo on the right Mel dances with his wife behind Liz with Eddie and another starry couple dances to their right - Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner.
