Mel Ferrer was photographed at the 1950 Screen Directors Guild Luncheon
chatting with fellow actor Broderick Crawford. The photo on the right shows director Robert Rossen with
actress / director Ida Lupino at the same award ceremony. In 1949 Rossen directed
Crawford to an Academy Award winning performance in "All the King's
Men," but at the time of this luncheon he and actor Ferrer were involved in filming "The Brave Bulls."
