Stork Club
New York, NY August 1949
The Summer of 1949 was an exciting time for
Mel Ferrer, who skyrocketed to fame when his movie, "Lost Boundaries,"
was a surprise hit, remaining at the top of the box office for three
months. After his La Jolla Playhouse season closed in August, he took a
trip to NYC, where he was photographed having drinks with actor Paul Kelly and his
wife at the famed Stork Club. He had just signed to star in "The Brave Bulls", which may have
contributed to their celebratory mood.
